About the event
Tokyo, a land of traditions and modern inventions…from skyscrapers to rickshaws and geishas walking in their wooden shoes. See the ornamented pagodas, the Japanese gardens, and hear about the age of shoguns and ninjas and the swords of the samurais. In restaurants one can have sushi, sukiyaki and tempura sitting on a tatami, using chopsticks. We learn about ikebana and origami and the pictures painted on rice paper. We take a trip to the ancient city of Kyoto and the warm springs and to the Sacred Mountain, Fujiyama, where the cherry trees are blossoming at the foot of the hills.
Be whisked away (virtually) to a new exciting location around the world with a travel screening. Then stay and tickle your tastebuds in our cafe with a delicious matching cultural cuisine to finish your journey.
This is not a sales event, it is offered as a social event for our local community.
